SHE'S GONE
Late it was, when I heard the phone ring
I didn't know,the grief it would bring
Not even a wind,to wink of the thought
Was told ,she was killed
Killed by one thoughtless mistake
That she and pals decided to make
Foolish thought,it was!
I fail to get it right
Maybe let me let me head in the light
What were they damn thinking
When they drank,
After which she was to drive
Drinking and driving
They did,and the wages
All I do now, think about her and cry
Ask my soul and God again and again
Why He had to cast darkness
Upon their eyes
Just to drive me
Into doom and gloom
I still cherish all the memories
We had
The good and the bad
All that we shared
Loved,cared,
For as one,but now she's gone.......
